Happy Birthday, Jaden John Jian!
We love you so very very much. At two years old your personality is just beginning to show, and we've loved watching it unfold. You're such a happy boy. You do have an independent stubborn streak! That, combined with your love of running and climbing and getting into things makes you a perfect fit for our family! Cuddle time isn't often, but ever so special. You like to rock in the rocking chair, which is wonderful. You love books, trains (choo choos) and cars ever so much. You love copying your brother and repeating different words people around you say.
It has been such a joy to watch you unfold before our very eyes. From the quiet very still little boy we were handed that day in China, to the active happy toddler you are now. You have such a resilient spirit, Jaden. I pray that the Lord will use your determination in great ways. Because with your heart, Jaden, you can do awesome things for Him!

Tonight's birthday party was at the same Chinese restaurant we celebrated your 1st birthday last year. The owner remembered you from your picture on your cake last year. Here she is playing with you and your new "twuck". So sweet!
Trying to blow out your candles on your "Pooh" birthday cake tonight. You did manage to get one after lots of effort!

What a difference a little time and a lot of love makes!! Im remembering his little face in China, and his lack of smiles then. He has become a happy All-American boy!! Give him a big hug from us. And a special one from his "girlfriend" Magie!! :o}

Interesting how the same decoration ended up on both cakes! Did you plan it that way? I can see that it is two different cakes, because the chairs are different, as is the bit of the rest of the cake I can see in the first picture!
