Prayers Please

A new regulation has just be announced which may or may not affect our travel.

It is now required (all of E, not just our agency) that our kids have a TB test before they come home. They must test negative before we can travel.

More than likely they have been immunized for it. Which is a good thing. However, if they have, it means when they do the skin/scratch test for TB, it will show up as a false positive.

Then they must schedule them for a chest x-ray.

It is estimated that 98% of the kids will pass the TB test. However, since all agencies have people getting ready to travel, everyone will need to get this done. They are requiring that it be done at one certain clinic.

If a child tests positive, it is my understanding that all that is necessary is a round of antibiotics, and then afterwards a negative test.

I understand that the powers-that-be have made this change for everyone's safety. I understand and can appreciate that. However, please please pray that this does NOT affect our travel. That our kids (and many many others) can acquire drs appts, be tested and shown negative before we are supposed to travel. Thank you!!
