Weekend

Last night we had our pizza and movie night! It usually involves a carpet picnic. We had to add an extra blanket this time! (smile)Shianne was feeling better by Saturday night, so we had Yaby, our Ethiopian friend from the local college, over for supper. We had met her parents while we were in E, what a privilege! And we had a package we took back for her. Plus we took video and pics of her family to show her. She hasn't been back in almost 3 years.

Yaby is a wonderful girl! We think she's the best. Unfortunately she doesn't speak the same language as our kids. But they still enjoyed hanging out with her.

We also finally had all the ingredients to use Tye's bday present...an ice cream maker! As you can see by the pictures, it went over very well.

I was going to post last night, but decided I needed to use my last bit of energy in God's Word (duh, right?!?). But what I was going to post last night was one word, with so many meanings.

Overwhelmed.

Yes, overwhelmed with having 7 kids. Three of which speak a different language and are trying to adjust. Some days that's quite overwhelming. Trying to love on kids who have, and are going through, so much. But mostly...

Overwhelmed by God's grace, love and how He provides. I can't describe it. His love amazes me. The fact that things are going so well. That He sustains me. Wow. Amazing. Overwhelming.

Overwhelmed by our family in Christ. You know who you are and you have done so much! The meals. The clean house when we got home. The painting. Our sign was stained. And hey, our toilet lid broke right before we left and there magically appeared a new one all installed when we arrived home. Like little elves were here.

And overwhelmed by the prayers. It amazes me how God lets us be a part of His plan through prayer. And we have been carried on the many many prayers of His people before our trip, during our trip, and now at home as we adjust. Thank you so much. It's overwhelming.

So many blessings. So much grace. It overwhelms. ...

Delighted, too, to hear of your little angels who were at work while you were away.
