God Bless America...
It's a scary thing. My heart is heavy as I listen to John McCain give his heartfelt speech after losing the presidency. God Bless America. God be with America.
I pray that Obama doesn't do what he said he'd do. One of those things is passing the Freedom of Choice Act. Which will mean a state
cannot say abortion is illegal...it will make it legal in all 9 months. And my taxpayer money will continue to pay for it, and possibly increase. And other things that I do not agree with.
With my heavy heart I would like to post a couple of things from Beth Moore's blog. God is in control, and I believe this is still the GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. Although I fight the fear that we will lose that "status."
*God "works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will" and "according to the plan." Ephesians 1:11
*Not only does God work out everything in conformity with His will, He has promised to work out everything for the GOOD of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
*God sets up kings and deposes them and gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. Daniel 2:21
*We, the beautifully diverse family of God, are never - not at any time - powerless. Nor are we ever victims of a system. Believing prayer takes us through doors we'll never be invited to enter and into judges chambers we'll never grace. Take a look back at Genesis 18 once again with astonishment over the dialogue between God and His servant and friend, Abraham. Rejoice that God is ever mindful of a faithful remnant. The Judge of the Earth will always do right.
*Even if persecution should await believers in Christ or harrowing circumstances hound us, God will use hardship to bring unity and purity to a people who need it desperately. The best of circumstances do not always produce the best in the Bride of Christ.
*The living God is firmly established upon His Throne and there at His holy feet we can always find grace and mercy in our time of need.
*No matter what happens today, we are GOD'S elect. He has elected us to show His heart and to walk in His ways in the culture that surrounds us. We are called to walk in the challenging balance of grace and truth.May we be filled with Christ's Spirit today and our mouths given to praise and to believing, receiving prayer. God IS faithful and He has us firmly in His hand. We will not fear. We will not doubt. We will not hate."Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in Him, for He shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between His shoulders." Deuteronomy 33:12
(From Carey) May we as Christians rise up and take care of our country in ways our government is unable to do. Again, God Bless America.

This is encouragement from Randy Alcorn's blog
The election is over. Followers of Christ, regardless of who they advocated and voted for, should now pray wholeheartedly for our new president and his administration, as Scripture instructs us...
... have a profound sorrow that I could not vote for the first African American president in U. S. history...
...How I wish that Barack Obama believed God's Word in these fundamental areas [rights of unborn children]. How deeply I wish I could have voted for him.
But not being able to vote for someone is very different than not being able to pray for him. I pray him, his wife and those precious daughters. (To see black children living in the White House will be to me a dream come true, despite my profound regrets that their father doesn't stand for every child's right to live.)
I pray that in those areas where President Obama does advocate what is right, God will richly bless him. I pray God will give him wisdom and strength in negotiating with international heads of state. I pray God will change his mind in areas where he's wrong, and restrain him from keeping his promises to Planned Parenthood concerning the Freedom of Choice Act, which would dramatically set back the legal cause of unborn children. I pray that, by some heart-changing miracle or providential human miscalculation, the next Supreme Court justice would be someone who would vote for the right to life of our smallest children, God's smallest children.
AMEN!

I'm with you. I couldn't even watch after they called the election. I just couldn't stand it. I can't believe we now have to call him our president. So unbelievably sad.
Thank you, Honey Bun, I needed that this morning!!
love you to pieces!!
I am a Christian.
I voted for Obama.
I do not believe abortion is right but I believe it is a womans right to choose. That woman will live with her choice.
Christians should not judge or be self ritious (sp)
Each person stands before God and he is the judge and nobody else!
